Hi all. my hubby has taken the E-Hep combination with Copegus and he is currently free of the hepatitis C and that really seem to be a good news, however I also need to warn you all that although he has stopped his treatment: his side effects are still continuing and they are still there, he is still having some major side effects. because of these major and very bad side effects I am not even sure if it was worth this treatment because I can say that my husband is feeling worse now than ever before the treatment. he is currently suffering from severe bone as well as joint pain throughout his entire body. he is also having itchy as well rashy skin that irritates him (I can see it), he has gained 30 lbs or even more weight, now his thyroid is completely messed up now and he also need to take some medications for that, some chronic fatigue that goes one since the treatment as well as he really need to take at least one nap every single day (which, in the past, he never done it). besides the physical symptoms, his mental condition is also all messed up as he is now suffering from severe depression (never been like this before – but with all that he is suffering from, that’s no surprise), he has now a hard time to deal with people as he’s truly finding it very difficult to concentrate, he has an explosive personality and his mood swings are even worse than a 18 years old girl on her period. all this led him to an very bad quality of life because he is now being unable to work because of the pain he is suffering from because of the inability to fill out the paperwork or anything in this matter because of the concentration issues that he’s now dealing with. I really have no idea when this is going to stop as I have been thinking that these side effects would diminish after a while (after stopping the treatment) but it seems that they are not and this truly scares me a lot. he has also lost the interest in the things that he really loved to do in the past. Shortly: he’s nearly a completely change person. How can he nap sever hours per day? most of the time he sleeps and when he does not – he’s a walking zombie who cannot function normally. Of course we have attended several doctors for trying to get help, but none of them have been able to help us. I’ve just tried to make this story in order to warn you that in case you or some of your loved ones are being put on this drug then watch carefully his or her reaction. In case you notice some personality changes then for his/her better – stop the treatment.

I feel weird. This is a very weird drug. at least for me. this is the second time I am being on treatment and this time with the sofosbuvir added to the brand name of Ribvirin as well as Interferon. Doc said that this combination should do the trick. I am feeling horrible today and I have had my 2nd week injection this last night and I really can’t remember feeling that bad the last time so I have assumptions why I feel this way. I have to mention that I am getting some sharp pain near where is my liver and my back is truly aching a lot which really makes me mad and frustrated. Besides this, I am really not feeling like being myself and my mood swings are totally out of control as I am now up and down emotionally thinking about death and stuff like that in a minute and then I can think about flowers and sun the next minute. But when I get the death episodes it really scared the sh*t out of me as it makes me think that I am not gonna be there to see and help my 3 years old son grow up. I have to mention that I am not suicidal, never think about it and absolutely never considered anything like that. I have to hang in there but not sure what’s going to happen next. 11 weeks more to resist but I am not sure if I would be able to do. if it continues like that then I might try my best to get through these 11 weeks but if it goes even more worse then I doubt that I would be able to continue with it. really hope that, at least, it is going to take care of the hep c I have.
