The drug is taken orally during meals 2 times a day. The average daily dose for adults and adolescents is 200-400 mg. As for children, Vantin is prescribed in a daily dose of 10 mg/kg.

The highest daily dose: 800 mg. The average daily dose should be lower for patients with impaired renal function.

The highest single dose: 400 mg.
