Lots of side effects but I can say that it is still worth taking if you’re ready to face those 12 weeks of side effects because it really gets your rid of HCV. I have been diagnosed with HCV in 2010, I am not sure for how long I’ve been having it because I never had any issues. Also, not sure from where. I do have some thoughts as to where I have got it but anyway, I doubt that this is so important. my doctor told me that it might be a good idea to wait a bit for the newer meds to be released and that’s what I have done. what played an important role in me waiting is that I was not symptomatic (I have found out that I have it by accident) however I did knew that I am going to be and that’s what happened. In 2015 I started to get symptoms and a few months later I have been put on the generic version of the drugs (since the price is lower). Started to take the drug and the side effects appeared right away. I could say that they appeared the very first day that I started the treatment, though it might be a placebo effect that is why I say that they appeared the very next day in the morning. So well, the side effects were some vertigo, head aches (lots – sometimes mild, sometimes very severe), some fatigue (not that often, but still annoying), constipation, insomnia (extremely annoying, extremely bad, extremely often…). I can say that all of the other side effects were not that bad, the worst of them all was the sleeping issue as well as the severe heart burn I was experiencing with the plenty of bloating feelings. Very well, I needed to do what my doctor was calling “the bomb” which is a bad concoction of some warn prune juice, milk magnesia as well as warm apple juice (yuuuuk), however the good news is that it did worked very good as this has taken down the bloating (as I have already said – I have a lot of the bloating during my entire 12 weeks TX of the drug). I have finally completed my TX one month ago and it was fine. things were not bad during TX, however approximately one week after I have completed it – I initiated to have some feeling like I have been toxic. I have been experiencing extreme fatigue as well as severe kidney pains and a lot of pressure in my abdomen. Some other side effects also seemed to occur. Not sure why I have got all of them after I have stopped the treatment. anyway, I have done a flush with the bomb again and I seemed to be eased. Anyway. it got me rid of the HCV but it was a very hard task to go through 12 weeks of those side effects (and even more). since it helped with HCV I can say that it is worth to try it – but be prepared to have some nasty side effects.

The drug is very good. I personally recommend for other people to take it for Hep C since I have used it myself and it did help me. I have got Hep C from a blood transfusion that has been many years ago and I really did not have any issues at all until the last fall (earlier) due to the fact that my liver functions started to go crazy. I have had to do something about that so my doctor has suggested me to take Harvoni but since it has been impossible for me to get it financially I decided to go with the generic version of it which is Hepcvir-L. even so I was not able to pay for it all and the doc has been able to get me assistance (thanks god for this amazing doctor) so that’s how I have started my treatment 3 months ago. the first couple of weeks were the worst of them all and it was very difficult for me to cope with the side effects as I’ve been having confusion, upset stomach as well as fatigue and some mild headaches but very frequent which was hard for me to work and normally function. Anyway, the good news is that after approximately 3 weeks or so (maybe a bit more) these side effects have eased up and that was a relief. The biggest relief I have got from was the brain fog as it disappeared and it allowed me to function normal again, besides I have then discovered that if I was eating something sweet then it helped me tremendously with the stomach upsets I have had therefore little to no side effects remained and even those that were still there – they were very mild. I can say that the side effect starting from that point to the rest of time then comparing on a scale of 1 to 10 then they were not more than 3 that is why – it was nothing scary and nothing that was not bearable that is why I would be ready to go through them once again if I needed to do it. anyway, the most important part is that yesterday I have finally got my results and they were amazing as I’ve been told that there is no trance of hep c. since the virus is undetectable and since the side effects were not a very big problem then I assume then this drug is amazing and on a scale from 1 to 10 it is at least 8 but even 9. Got a big relief from finding out that I no longer have hep c.
